It’s not easy being a celebrity around Nigerians.
All it takes is one statement that doesn’t sit well with the public, and you’re getting dragged ASAP. It doesn’t matter how much they like you, or you think they like you. That’s the hard lesson Mr Eazi is learing today.It’s not easy being a celebrity around Nigerians.
Mr Eazi is the wave of the moment.
He held a sold out concert in December 2016. He won the Headies ‘Next Rated Artiste’ award and Soundcity MVP’s ‘Best new act’. Sometimes Mr Eazi says he’s Kofi from Ghana, other times, he’s Tosin from Nigeria. He basically switches between the two countries.
He posted a tweet saying that Ghanaians have had a huge influence on Nigerian music.
To be fair he isn’t entirely lying about it. There’s influence across different countries in Africa when it comes to music, and even across the world. Maybe his wording could’ve been a bit different. But you suspect it wouldn’t have mattered.
